Physicians and Healthcare Providers Better information. Better options. Rituximab is an IgG1 immunotherapeutic agent indicated for the treatment of follicular, CD20-positive, B-cell, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Rituximab monotherapy has been shown to be effective only in up to 57% of cases,1 and can cause serious side effects, some of which could be life-threatening.2 Side effects and the drug's cost may make rituximab a difficult choice for many practitioners and patients. The PGxPredict™:RITUXIMAB test is changing the rules, making it possible to provide patients and physicians with specific information about the likelihood of response to rituximab monotherapy. References 1 Overall response rate with weekly dosing, measured at week 8 in relapsed or refractory, low grade or follicular, CD20-positive B-cell NHL. (See Rituxan® product insert) 2 In patients treated with single agent rituximab for relapsed or refractory, low-grade of follicular, CD20-positive, B-cell NHL, Grade 3 and 4 adverse events overall were reported in 57% of patients with weekly administration for 4 doses, and in 70% of patients with weekly administration for 8 doses. (See Rituxan® product insert) Rituximab is sold as Rituxan® in the United States. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners. 1-877-2-PGXHEALTH (877-274-9432) |
